Welcome to the Winter/Spring Session of MarathonFest
The Winter/Spring training begins on Saturday, Jan. 22nd or Sunday, Jan. 23rd
Tuesday/Thursday workouts will begin next week -Tuesday, Jan. 25th
Recap of our pace group
We run 10 and 1's on our long runs (run 10 minutes and walk 1)
Our half marathon goal is 1:50 to 2 hrs
Our full marathon goal is from 4 to 4hrs and 15 min
WEEKEND MILEAGE
SPRING FULL..............12 miles
SPRING HALF..............6 miles
Decision Time - please read carefully!
If you are NOT running the Seasons 52 5K
Start time is 6:00am (arrive 5:45) at Cadyway
Route
Cadyway to Park Ave 4 miles
Park Ave to Phelps 2
Chestnut 2
Phelps to Cadyway via Windsong 4
*This is subject to change if we have new members running 8 miles
If you ARE running the Seasons 52 5K and want additional mileage
Start time is 5:00am (arrive 4:50) in front of Panera’s on Park Ave – *Ray will be there to greet you. He will be running the 5K
Route
Park Ave to Cadyway 4 miles (we will all meet at 5:45 and greet any new members)
Cadyway back to Park Ave 4
The race starts at 7:30 – you can add on 2 from downtown to stay warm
Seasons 52 5 K
*If you are meeting Ray, you will need to park downtown. Plan ahead and think about parking smart so you can get out after the race. (any side street East of Park Ave or in the municipal lots adjacent to the R/R station would work)
**Terry will be joining/leading with Jim Reed this session. They are targeting at 3:50-4:00 hr marathon. They will be running 10 and 1s.
